We are an architecture and interior design studio with a growing reputation for crafted, tactile, atmospheric spaces and structures. Specialising in one-off new build homes and sensitive restorations and additions to historic structures.

Founded in 2010, by husband and wife David Liddicoat and Sophie Goldhill, current projects include local, national and international builds. Our practice employs a collaborative ‘agile’ design management system to foster creative thinking. We make bespoke environments, whether building bijou or monumental, and find inventive fabric solutions for imaginative visions.

Liddicoat & Goldhill were awarded an RIBA award and Manser Medal nomination for the hand-crafted Shadow House. A Manser Medal commendation, RIBA London Award and RIBA House of the Year shortlisting came for the self-initiated Makers House – followed by a prestigious Stephen Lawrence Award shortlisting and a third RIBA award for the kinetic Ancient Party Barn. Named as one of Wallpaper* Magazine’s ‘Future 30’, the practice has twice been shortlisted for Building Design Architect of the Year (Housing), and Young Architect of the Year 2019 and featured in the Architecture Foundation's New Architects 3: ‘A decade of New British Talent’.

The studio’s work has been widely exhibited and published in the UK and abroad with several models selected for the architecture room of the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition.
