about us

We Design Homes is a curated online directory and free introduction service connecting enthusiastic homeowners with practices that design exceptionally thoughtful homes.

Our aim is to help bring great clients together with the best architects from across the UK and Ireland. We believe the home is the most personal, the most emotional piece of architecture any of us can experience and that there is not enough good design in the world. If you're planning to renovate, extend, or even build a new home, we’re here to help you find the right design-led practice to create a truly special place to live.

"I believe in the power of good design and the positive impact it can have on our lives. This is no more true than in the personal spaces of our homes. There are some fantastic practices out there and I want to see them creating more, thoughtful homes for everybody. Which is why I started We Design Homes."

Christopher Moore

Christopher's career in architecture journalism and professional practice communications spans nearly three decades. His work has been published in journals around the world, and he has helped guide communications strategy for architects and engineers in London and his native Melbourne.

I've always gained tremendous satisfaction writing and talking about residential architecture. The way people live is fascinating to me, and the architects who work with their clients to design amazing homes have always inspired me.
