Studio Octopi is an established architecture and design practice working out of Waterloo in central London. The award-winning studio was founded in 2003 by Chris Romer-Lee and James Lowe and is a RIBA Chartered Practice.

We work on a mix of private residential projects from refurbishment to multi-unit new build homes. The practice has achieved notable success for creating inventive and considered architecture that has a particular focus on materiality and craft. Every project is delivered via a collaborative approach with client and design team.

Our portfolio of completed work is broad. It includes collaboration with artists, work with schools, community organisations and workplace design. The practice’s work and thinking has been widely published in the UK and global press. Chris and James have spoken at major conferences and events most notably for their work on improving access to underused urban waterways.
